In 2022, NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) selected WonderBit for developing a software solution which allows a cloud environment to be used for multi-tenant Science and Technology (S&T) experimentation, while ensuring that appropriate measures regarding security, accountability and interoperability are enforced.

Social Farmer
Social Farmer is a digital platform where the Oosterwold Urban Farming Cooperative (Coöperatie Stadslandbouw Oosterwold) and WonderBit work together to intelligently match the supply and demand of locally grown produce. The idea for the platform originated in Almere Oosterwold, where everyone is required to participate in urban farming. Since many Oosterwold residents have no professional farming experience, digital support helps them contribute effectively to the local food supply.
Using the crop planning tool, everyone can see who is growing what. This prevents residents from all growing the same crops and helps ensure a diverse range of produce.
Previously, the cooperative managed this type of planning using Excel spreadsheets, which was very labor-intensive. Social Farmer makes the entire process—from planning and cultivation to harvesting—clearer and more efficient. It also makes it easier to connect local produce with local markets and buyers, such as restaurants and care and welfare organisations.
Social Farmer can now continue to develop thanks to financial support from Kansen voor West, which is funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
